About Louie and Honey's Kitchen

A bakery cafe in historic West End specializing in cakes, pies, Amish cinnamon rolls. Full espresso bar.

Located at 401 W End Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, Louie and Honey's Kitchen operates as an italian deli serving Winston-Salem in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–5 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (336) 422-7500. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, louieandhoneyskitchen.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 677 reviews, which is a strong result for an italian deli in Winston-Salem and suggests consistent service.

Came in on a Saturday and expected a line, wasn’t really too bad of a wait. Nice weather nice area. First time here and I have to say the customer service is outstanding. Got a few things to go got a few things and sat down to enjoy them !with the line out the door like today also expect a little bit of wait for your drinks. I got the green tea and also had a hot chocolate which was really good and not too sweet. The green tea could’ve been a little bit more green, but I’m kind of a tea drinker so… the only letdown was I did get one of the cinnamon rolls and for all of the hype I was expecting more , a little too sweet up top and while the roll itself was super soft, I felt like it could use more texture. Lots of other desserts to choose from we got a tart and a scone, which were absolutely wonderful, definitely gonna come back again. Just probably won’t get a cinnamon roll unless they change something about it.

LOVED this cafe!! Has own parking, and was lucky enough to grab spot during breakfast rush. The staff were so nice, and you can immediately tell the degree of ingredient quality from the first bite. Can’t wait to come back.

We finally got to stop in this morning and try this place out and golly was it good! I got a slice of breakfast pizza and the bread was so bouncy and moist, with a delicious white gravy sauce topped with sausage pieces , a fried egg, cheese and scallions. It was very tasty and filling. I also got a slice of quiche & a four pack of those huge scrumptious Amish cinnamon rolls (YUM!) and a refreshing iced coffee to wash it all down! Everything was wonderful from the food to the service to the atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back and try more items!

Most of the reviews suggested the Amish Cinnamon Roll. I thought it was a little bit pricy at $7.00. The roll was flaky and very tasty. The Penuche icing complimented the roll quite nicely. The line moves quicky and the service is friendly and efficient. I can see that parking can be tight at times. The coffee was reasonably priced.

My partner loves a great cup of joe. Not only can you get an incredible cup of coffee, but there are treats beyond imagination and wonder within these walls. I have had their cinnamon buns before, and they are otherworldly. They are so sweet and fluffy that icing simply makes the whole treat. The only flaw is that they are so rich, I am not sure how you could finish one on your own. The service is always on point, even though they are very busy, especially on weekend mornings. If you go there during this time, just be patient; your patience will be rewarded with delicious coffee and treats. My partner got their lavender special drink of the day, and she approved. I was bored and simply got hot chocolate to cut the cold winter morning. Even though my choice was rather basic, it was a great drink and clearly made with quality ingredients, as I would expect from this establishment.
